Tonight was the first night me and my Boyfriend had been out in quite a while, what with my recent Florida trip and his odd working hours its difficult sometimes. Just popped out for a quick meal but it was lovely to have an excuse to do a full makeup routine without me playing around!
I opted for a super casual clothing outfit, which I didn’t take a photo in, but you can see the cream jumper in the before and after shots. Paired with a leather jacket and my favourite Michael Kors bag and my new blonde locks I felt so confident.
You will see a lot of my items in my Florida makeup Haul, but I couldn’t resist giving them all a go early. I used my new favourite primer and foundation, a long with full contour and similar contoured eye look. I feel like the more practice I’m getting with contouring he more confident I feel about talking about it, but I have a whole new post planned for that so I will wait to go into further detail in my contour routine products at another time.
But quickly summing up:
My new favourite face items have got to be a full coverage foundation and concealer combo. A bit too heavy for everyday, but perfect for an evening of glam.
Make Up Forever: Step 1 Skin Equalizer (Smoothing Primer)
Normally I would rave about Benefit’s Smoothing Primer, but after buying a sample size in Sephora of this Make up Forever Primer I really was impressed. So impressed I wish I got the full size. I fear this won’t last a great amount of time, but saying that a little really does go a long way. It fills in your pores flawlessly and creates such a great canvas for foundation. I only use this product on my chin, down and around my nose and between my eyebrows, spreading upwards towards my forehead as these are my oily areas. This product in my opinion really outshines any other.
Kat Von D: Lock It Foundation
When I say I want ‘Full Coverage’ in a foundation, I was genuinely shocked with the coverage and how this made my skin look. No visible pores, no sun spots were visible. It does make me wonder why YouTubers stop using this now I have it. I applied two pumps on my hand, and swiped stripes across various parts of my face and blended in with a damp sponge. It’s basically THE best foundation I have used to date. And that is completely 100% definite for me!
For the ultimate brightening and complete concealing coverage I feel that I have found the best combining products. For coverage, the Maybelline Age Rewind provides an excellent coverage with just one swipe, and the sponge applicator on the end is fantastic for spreading the product. For brightening the Make Up Forever Ultra HD Concealer works amazingly well. This is in the lightest shade possible and for a fair skinned person it is hard to find a concealer shade to brighten the under eye area. But this is the best one I have found so far and am very pleased with it!
Tomorrow I have another in depth post planned surrounding some new products! I hope you enjoyed this quick little check in! Hope to see you again soon!
